healthy delicious and ethical. in a snack? impossible, right? back in 2013, we figured the only way to check all those boxes was to make it ourselves. we spent the next three years tracking down incredible ingredients, the right ones (nine as it turned out), traveling, tasting, weighing, and mixing (in an antique wooden bowl on the kitchen tablet to start with) to land on the perfect calibration of taste, texture, nutrition. it had to be ethical too. so all our ingredients are 100% organic, small-batch, and responsibly–sourced. we run with as light a footprint as possible and a promise to amazing nonprofits: donating 20% of our net profits to the conservation alliance, members of 1% for the planet, and we are climate neutral certified (carbon neutral company). In addition, all of our packaging is plastic free and our larger bulk pouches (also plastic-free) are 100% compostable.
