About Willa's Shortbread

We're already loading up the production schedule for the Holiday rush so be sure to get your orders in early. Our lead time will be going out soon with not much opportunity to move orders up. Please note: We will not be shipping orders the week of October 7th as our crew is taking a short break before the Holiday madness hits full swing At Willa’s Shortbread, “Traditionally Southern” isn’t just a name; it’s our heritage. Since 1977, Willa’s Shortbread has produced the finest Shortbread cookies and Cheese Biscuits using traditional southern recipes and with family guarded attention to detail and quality. From her home in the Highlands of North Carolina, Willa Allen began baking traditional shortbread for special events at the local country club. So well received was her shortbread, she began offering it at local markets eventually having to add a second oven in her kitchen to keep up with demand. When Willa adapted her shortbread recipe to produce cookies, the Classic Shortbread was created and remains an all time favorite to this day with it’s rich, buttery goodness. Willa adapted her mother’s famous cheese straw recipe to create our delicious Cheese Biscuits. Customer’s loved the deep cheddar flavor and spicy bite of these crisp delights and soon, Willa began offering them along with her Classic Shortbread cookies.
