Salve, Mi chiamo Yana e sono una rifugiata ucraina. Quando è scoppiata la guerra con la Russia, mi sono svegliato al rumore delle bombe sganciate fuori dalla mia casa a Kiev. Avevo 15 minuti per fare le valigie e scappare. Quando ho lasciato la mia casa e i miei amici, ho dovuto abbandonare anche i miei affari. Sono una stilista di abbigliamento e lingerie femminile. Negli ultimi otto anni ho posseduto un marchio di abbigliamento premium, inclusa un'azienda di produzione. Avevo anche un flagship store che ospitava servizi di bellezza e vendeva a negozi partner all'ingrosso. Quando sono diventato sfollato, gli amici di Huddersfield, nel West Yorkshire, si sono offerti di sponsorizzarmi e mi è stato concesso un visto per il Regno Unito mentre attraversavo l'Europa. Da quando sono arrivato, sapevo che, nonostante avessi perso tutto, volevo riavviare la mia attività qui nel Regno Unito per essere autosufficiente e pagare le tasse al paese ospitante. Per fare ciò, voglio mostrare altri designer ucraini acquistando e supportandoli.
